OLIVITUR – Digitalització i intel·ligència de dades per a la transformació de l'enoturisme i l'oleoturisme

The wine and olive oil tourism sectors are fundamental pillars of the Catalan identity and economy. However, the vast majority of small and medium-sized producers face a significant technological barrier: the lack of professionalized digital tools to manage visits, bookings, and sales.

This fragmentation hinders not only daily operations but also the ability to offer a seamless experience to tourists and collect key data on their behavior.

OLIVITUR was created to bridge this gap, offering a cutting-edge technological solution that directly connects producers with the digital market, focusing on nuclear transition zones to boost their economic development.

1. Main objectives

The project is structured around several areas of action:

  • Digitalization of the offer: Implement a booking engine that allows real-time management of availability, schedules, and capacity.
  • Integrated and professional management: Develop an advanced back-office that automates billing, customer communication, and payment control.
  • Business Intelligence (BI): Create a repository of anonymized data to analyze visitor profiles, tourist flows, and consumption trends, providing a global view of the sector.
  • Interoperability and Promotion: Facilitate integration with external sales channels and improve the visibility of olive oil tourism experiences, which are often less digitized than wine experiences.

2. Key features of the platform

The platform, whose development has been awarded to the technology company Lueira, includes:

  • Professional Management Panel: A tool for wineries and mills for the dynamic configuration of products and prices.
  • Secure Payment Gateway: Integration of online payment systems to guarantee the traceability of transactions.
  • Multi-device User Experience (UX): An intuitive and agile booking process, optimized for mobile devices.
  • Analytics Module: A dashboard for partners to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).

3. Strategic and territorial impact

OLIVITUR is not just a sales tool but an engine of transformation for the territory. The project places special emphasis on sustainability and support for local economies, promoting high-quality, non-seasonal tourism that highlights the product's origin. The system's architecture is designed to be scalable and transferable, serving as a model for other agri-food sectors in the future.

4. Consortium and collaboration

This project is a clear example of cross-sector cooperation, coordinated by the Clúster Food Retail de Catalunya and with the active participation of INNOVI (Catalan Wine Cluster).

The Tech Tourism Cluster (TTC) has played a key role as a technological facilitator, leading the definition of requirements and the drafting of technical specifications to ensure the excellence of the developed solution.

Participating entities: DO Montsant, Clos Figueras, Cuadrat Valley, Molí d'Alcanó (L’Or de Ponent - Fruits de Ponent).

5. Support and funding

The OLIVITUR project has been funded through the line of Subsidies for business projects carried out in nuclear transition zones, from the 2025 call of ACCIÓ (Government of Catalonia).
