TRIA advances in the development of an initial artificial intelligence application for sports tourism

The TRIA – AI for Sports Tourism project has completed its first development phase with the creation of a preliminary version of its application. The platform explores how artificial intelligence can connect anonymised data from different sources and provide relevant information to professionals in the sports and tourism sectors. During this phase, around forty providers and information sources related to sports, health and accommodation have been analysed. TRIA is based on the concept of an artificial intelligence “super-agent”. The pilot test, focused on cycling and triathlon in the Girona area, will help validate the approach, identify limitations and define improvements. This first version therefore provides a starting point for gaining a better understanding of the profiles and behaviour of sports participants and enabling more informed decision-making among stakeholders in the sports and tourism sectors.
