The Danish innovation ecosystem visits the Tech Tourism Cluster

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a Danish delegation as part of an intercluster initiative jointly organised with the Hub for Innovation in Tourism and ACCIÓ. The meeting enabled deeper collaboration between the innovation ecosystems of Catalonia and Denmark, two regions known for their strong commitment to digital transformation and the competitiveness of the tourism sector.

The event took place at the Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia and began with a fast-pitch session, where Catalan and Danish startups presented their traveltech projects. This dynamic format provided a cross-sector view of the technological solutions being developed in both territories and, together with the networking and dinner on the hotel terrace, helped create a space for mutual discovery and business connection.

During their stay, the Danish delegation also had the opportunity to visit the offices of Vueling and Turijobs, where they gained first-hand insight into how these organisations drive digitalisation, promote continuous improvement and develop solutions geared towards the future of the tourism sector. The exchange, led by Xavier Martin, Javier Álvarez and Daniel Méndez, offered a valuable opportunity to share best practices and reflect on current challenges and the trends that will shape the coming years.
