On Friday, September 19th, we held the session “Positive Tourism: Resource Optimization”, a shared space for reflection on how to rethink tourism from a regenerative and conscious perspective.
🎙 The event, moderated by Lucía Hernández, featured the insights of Raquel Priego (Trip to Help), David Isern i Casanovas (Cerdanya Viva EcoEstades), and Javier Ruiz (Defcon8). Through their experiences, they highlighted the significant social impact behind everyday tourism and business activity.
Through the round table, several shared ideas were brought together:
- 🌱 Regeneration starts within communities and destinations, with the traveler’s responsibility from the very beginning of the journey.
- 🌍 Technology can be a powerful ally, but real change will only come through a collective cultural transformation.
- 🤝 It is not only about focusing on the tourist and the economic impact, but also on shared well-being and commitment to the local community.
- ✨ Regeneration is also an inner journey: awareness and individual responsibility are essential.
The session made one thing clear: the path towards “positive tourism” begins with individual responsibility and translates into shared benefits for the whole community. Connecting, building networks, and working together—with technology as an ally—are key to achieving a positive and lasting impact on the territory.
🙌 At the Tech Tourism Cluster, we thank all the participants and speakers for their valuable contributions, which enrich our traveltech ecosystem and help us move towards a regenerative and conscious tourism model.
