This week, the Tech Tourism Cluster participated in Ghent (Belgium) in the BEFuture Signature Event “Shaping the Future of Europe’s Business Events” This gathering marks the conclusion of the European BEFuture project, led by the Catalunya Convention Bureau and the Catalan Tourist Board, alongside various entities and organizations from across Europe.

The BEFuture project has focused on driving innovation within the Business Events sector, a field with significant economic and strategic impact on an international scale. Throughout the project, initiatives have been promoted to encourage the creation of new technological and innovative solutions capable of transforming how professional events of the future are designed, organized, and managed.

The final event held in Ghent brought together representants from the European events ecosystem, institutions, innovation hubs, and technology companies to share project results and reflect on the next steps to continue driving the sector's transformation.

During the session, several innovative solutions developed within the framework of the project were also presented. Some of these were spearheaded by Tech Tourism Cluster member companies, contributing new technological perspectives for the future of events.

Additionally, the Tech Tourism Cluster had the opportunity to participate in the strategic debate regarding the continuity of the BEFuture project, providing its vision on the role of technology and innovation in transforming the Business Events sector.
