As is now tradition, the Tech Tourism Cluster took part in the Strategic Cluster Week in Switzerland for Cluster Managers, organized by ACCIÓ, together with 16 Catalan clusters. The goal was to gain first-hand insight into one of the most advanced innovation ecosystems in the world.
Throughout the week, between Zurich and Lausanne, the program combined visits, training sessions, and high-value strategic meetings:
1️⃣ Visits to leading research centres such as Empa —specialized in applied research and technology transfer— and EPFL, one of Europe’s most prestigious scientific and technological universities.
2️⃣ Discovery of relevant Swiss companies and brands that exemplify the innovative potential of the ecosystem, as well as high-impact business models.
3️⃣ Sessions with top-level speakers, who provided a clear perspective on the country’s economic and political context, and on the trends that will shape innovation in the coming years.
One of the most remarkable moments was the masterclass with Alexander Osterwalder, creator of the Business Model Canvas, which offered the opportunity to delve deeper into high-value strategic methodologies for clusters.
As always, thanks to ACCIÓ for making such highly valuable sessions possible for cluster ecosystems. The Strategic Clusters Week opens doors to international collaboration and inspires us with innovation from other advanced ecosystems around the world.
