The 'traveltech' ecosystem meets at MWC 2026 to draw the tourism of the future

This past week we experienced key days for the sector with the celebration of a new edition of the Tech Tourism Talks @4YFN, framed within the prestigious MWC 2026. Under the motto “Technologies that will transform the tourism of tomorrow”, and in collaboration with Barcelona Activa, the event brought together the leading companies in the traveltech ecosystem to discuss the future of the industry.

For the technological ecosystem applied to tourism, spaces like this are essential for sharing real experiences regarding the strategic use of data and artificial intelligence. During the session, a round table was held, moderated by Anna Monjo (ACCIÓ), featuring insights from experts such as Adrià Bosch (VisitToo), Lesmes López (Codurance), Albert Martínez (Sekuenz), and Edgar Sanjuán (Emogg Analytics®).

The debate delved into the applicability of technology from a futuristic perspective, placing special emphasis on the role of AI to better understand demand, personalize experiences, and generate algorithms that enable stakeholders to make much more informed decisions.

But the day's efforts to continue boosting the competitiveness of the business fabric did not end there. In the evening, the focus of innovation moved to the Sercotel Caspe. venue with a new edition of Travel Tech Connect!, bringing together more than 50 companies and professionals from the ecosystem.

This gathering, jointly organized with FutureTravel and Barcelona Travel Hub, served as a showcase for entrepreneurial talent. During the session, five emerging startups—Revivack, Effiwaste, Navea Tech, eXplorins and Defcon8—presented their innovative solutions. All of them share the same goal: providing value propositions that help redefine the travel experience and evolve towards a more efficient and sustainable tourism industry.

Beyond the presentations, the event became a great networking opportunity, fostering new conversations and the creation of valuable connections among professionals who share the mission of transforming the current tourism model.
