MuseMetrics es presenta al Forum TurisTIC com un exemple d'innovació per a la gestió intel·ligent dels museus

The MuseMetrics project was one of the highlights of the latest edition of the Forum TurisTIC, the leading congress on innovation and technology applied to tourism organized by Eurecat.

During the event, Pedro Costa from the Moco Museum presented the progress of this collaborative project, which is coordinated by the Clúster de l'Energia Eficient de Catalunya, with the participation of the Tech Tourism Cluster, as well as the companies Mind and WATTEGA (ARCbcn & ERF). The initiative is supported by ACCIÓ and aims to drive a more efficient and sustainable management of museum facilities through the use of data.

Beyond the presentation of the project, it was also part of the round table discussion dedicated to analyzing how digital innovation is transforming the visitor experience in cultural tourism. The debate brought together industry professionals to reflect on the role of technology in cultural spaces, agreeing that it should not be an end in itself, but rather a tool to enrich the visitor experience. During the conversation, four key elements were identified to build memorable cultural experiences:

• Developing a narrative capable of connecting with the visitor and giving meaning to the visit.

• Creating immersive experiences that allow visitors to feel like part of the story.

• Encouraging interaction and participation so that the visitor becomes the protagonist.

• Generating emotions capable of turning a visit into a lasting memory.

This approach shows that innovation in cultural tourism goes far beyond the adoption of new technologies: its true value lies in its capacity to strengthen the connection between people, heritage, and the territory.

Do you know Musemetrics? MuseMetrics integrates energy information to optimize museum operations, improving facility efficiency while contributing to the preservation of artworks. It demonstrates how digitalization can generate a positive impact both on the operational management of cultural facilities and on heritage conservation, providing tools to make data-driven decisions and move toward more sustainable management models.

Participation in the Forum TurisTIC was also an opportunity to showcase the talent and innovation of several members of the Tech Tourism Cluster. Elena Losantos (Identify Travel), Sergi Quinto (WOWIST) and Ángela Bustillos (eXplorins) also took part in the event, sharing their initiatives and their vision on the future of tourism.

At the Tech Tourism Cluster, we are delighted to have been part of another edition of this benchmark congress. A space that continues to foster dialogue between technology, culture, and tourism, and helps generate new ideas, collaborations, and projects!
