Assamblea General Ordinaria

On May 15th, we held the 2025 Ordinary General Assembly of the Tech Tourism Cluster at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Girona. A key day to share the challenges, achievements, and ongoing projects of an ecosystem that keeps on growing.

The event began with an institutional welcome by Josep Calbó Angrill, Vice-Rector for Strategic Projects at the University of Girona, and Ingrid Graells Paul, President of the Tech Tourism Cluster. Their opening remarks highlighted the value of collaboration between the academic world and the tourism-technology sector.

Next, Javier Álvarez Sánchez, Treasurer of the Cluster and IT Manager at Vueling, together with Mauro Rilova, CEO and Co-founder of Mylegalinbox, presented and submitted for approval the 2024 annual accounts.

Cluster Manager Xavier Garcia then continued the session by approving new members and sharing the 2025 activity plan, which outlines a roadmap full of opportunities for the digital transformation of the tourism sector.

One of the most insightful moments came when Xavier Simó (inlea), Rolando García San Vicente (Eurecat), and Rafael González (Vivential Value) presented the results of the projects granted in 2024, emphasizing their real impact on the traveltech ecosystem.

We also had the participation of Mariona Masip, Coordinator of the Barcelona Travel Hub, who detailed the hub’s upcoming actions, especially regarding the incubation program and other key activities planned for 2025.

The day concluded with an inspiring keynote by Albert Riba Trullols titled “Mammoth or Humanoid: From Extinction to AI”. His talk encouraged us to reflect on the importance of combining artificial intelligence with human intelligence to ensure a technological evolution guided by purpose and values.

🙌 Thank you to everyone who joined us in Girona, and especially to the 122 members who are already part of this collaborative project.
