We inform you that Red.es, a public corporate entity assigned to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service, has announced the Data Spaces Kit aid, which aims to promote the incorporation of a larger number of organizations into sectoral data spaces.


These aids are part of the "Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan" and are financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds.


What are the objectives? 

✅ To demonstrate the real value of use cases, expand ecosystems, and multiply the volume of shared data, thus fostering innovation and impact on the data economy. 

✅ To eliminate technical and economic barriers, making it easier for any entity to securely connect to a data space and leverage its potential.


Who are the beneficiaries? 

The Data Spaces Kit program aids are divided into two categories of beneficiaries:

  • Private and public entities with economic activity: they must have their own legal personality and fiscal domicile located in the EU.
  • Public Administrations: City Councils, provincial councils, public hospitals, and other administrations with a high level of digital maturity.


Incorporation modalities: 

🔸 As a participant:

  • Data preparation
  • Adhesion contract with an eligible data space
  • Registration in the chosen data space 

🔸 As a provider:

  • Data preparation
  • Adhesion contract
  • Registration in the data space
  • Publication of a dataset in this space


Eligible expenses: 

The Data Spaces Kit covers own staff, service contracting expenses, and the acquisition of necessary software to prepare and connect the data. Expenses can be declared from July 16, 2025


Budget: 

The maximum amount of aid varies according to the type of entity and the level of incorporation into the data space (as a participant or as a provider):


🔸 Participants:

  • Up to €15,000 for public and private entities
  • Up to €25,000 for Public Administrations

🔸 Providers:

  • Up to €30,000 for public and private entities
  • Up to €50,000 for Public Administrations


Deadline: until the budget is exhausted or until March 31, 2026
