Innovació i talent a la Decode Travel Hackathon

On November 26th, 27th and 28th, a new edition of Decode Travel took place, the hackathon co-organised by the Tech Tourism Cluster, Hospitalidad Emprendedora and Chain4Travel, held this year at the cluster’s offices: Barcelona Circular (BAC).

The event began with the presentation of the technological challenges proposed by Vueling, Clorian Ticketing and Chain4Travel, followed by the formation of the participating teams, who worked intensively for 48 hours to address real challenges in the tourism sector.

Throughout the sessions, professionals and emerging talent developed solutions related to blockchain, intelligent travel-itinerary platforms, anti-fraud systems, payment automation, operational management and AI-based proposals for the hospitality industry. All this was made possible thanks to the support of partners such as Nubemsystems, Barcelona Travel Hub, FutureTravel, Camino Network, ACCIÓ and TeamLabs!

The final session, also held at Barcelona Circular (BAC), featured the presentation of the projects and the awards ceremony. The main recognition went to the solution addressing Vueling’s challenge, focused on digitalisation and blockchain-based security for aircraft operational checklists. The jury also granted a special mention to the Neobookings team for its innovative hybrid interaction model for smart itinerary-booking platforms.

Once again, Decode Travel has highlighted the power of collaboration and technological innovation applied to tourism.
See you next year with new challenges and even more traveltech talent!
