TechTur Legal Series | Interpreting the AI Act of the EU

TechTur Legal Series | Interpretant el AI Act de la UE

In this new session of the TechTur Legal Series, we will delve into one of the major regulatory challenges shaping the present and future of digital transformation: the AI Act, the European regulation establishing a common framework for the development, commercialisation, and use of artificial intelligence systems.

During the session, we will explain the fundamental aspects of the AI Act in a clear and accessible manner: its scope of application, how it classifies artificial intelligence systems according to risk level, and the responsibilities it establishes for the various actors involved in their creation, distribution, or deployment. We will also analyse the requirements for transparency, human oversight, documentation, internal control, and risk management that organisations will need to consider.

The event will help participants understand how this regulation may impact companies in the tourism and technology sectors—whether they develop AI-based solutions or use third-party tools in areas such as customer service, marketing, booking management, pricing, data analytics, human resources, or decision-making. Using practical examples and common scenarios, we will identify key points of attention and the initial steps to take to prepare effectively.

As usual, we will feature the expertise of our colleagues from Mylegalinbox and Codurance, who will share a practical perspective on key obligations, potential legal and reputational risks, and the opportunities introduced by the new regulation.
