Technology with purpose: We explore efficiency and sustainability at TwentyTú Hi-Tech Hostel

On April 22nd, the Tech Tourism Cluster organized a visit to the TwentyTú Hi-Tech Hostel in Barcelona , one of the most innovative and sustainable accommodations in the city and the first in the world to obtain the Biosphere Responsible Tourism certification.

This space is a clear example of how technology can be a true ally in the structural transformation of accommodations.

During the event, administrator Ignasi Uñó and Kirti showed us how this pioneering model works, making a fundamental premise clear: technology is not an ornament, it is the engine of efficiency . The hostel integrates energy automation and water efficiency, and Uñó challenged attendees to "pull the thread," demonstrating that data analysis is key so that no decision is left to chance .

The visit also showed that innovation is closely linked to social commitment. The project is committed to circularity and logistics with a soul ♻️, giving a second life to furniture with the Fundació Banc de Recursos. In addition, they integrate labor insertion by collaborating with the Fundació Formació i Treball , proving that a Hi-Tech model can be a great engine for human opportunity.
